policies

see faq or contact the massage therapist for more information

deposits

A deposit is required to request an appointment. Receipt of a deposit does not guarantee a confirmed appointment; all bookings are subject to therapist approval, and the therapist reserves the right to decline any appointment for any reason. If an appointment is declined, the deposit will be fully refunded. Once an appointment is confirmed, the deposit will be applied toward the total cost of the session. Deposits are non-refundable except with the therapist's discretion. See Cancellation & Rescheduling for deposit forfeiture terms.

cancellation & rescheduling

At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment. Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice will forfeit the deposit. Verifiable emergencies, illness, and inclement weather may be exempt from this policy at the therapist's discretion.

no-shows

If you do not answer the door within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, with no communication to the therapist, you will be considered a no-show. The session will be marked complete and charged in full.

therapist cancellations

If your therapist needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment — including due to unsafe travel conditions, illness, or an emergency — you will receive a full deposit refund or the option to rebook at no additional cost.

late arrivals & late starts

Your therapist will arrive at your scheduled appointment time. Fifteen minutes are reserved before your session for setup and fifteen minutes after for breakdown. If your therapist arrives late, your full scheduled session time will still be honored; if the session cannot be extended to accommodate this, a prorated discount will be applied. If a session begins late due to client unpreparedness, extending the session time is at the therapist's discretion.

illness & emergencies

Clients with a contagious condition — including but not limited to the common cold, influenza, stomach flu, COVID-19, meningitis, shingles, or contagious skin conditions — must notify the therapist before their scheduled appointment and may reschedule once the condition has fully resolved. Clients showing active signs or symptoms of a systemic illness at the time of their appointment are also asked to notify the therapist and reschedule. See the Cancellation & Rescheduling policy above for related charges.

right to refuse or terminate service

The therapist reserves the right to decline service or end an appointment at any time — before or during a session — if the environment or circumstances appear unsafe. In these cases, the client will not be entitled to a refund of their deposit or any fees paid. Massage services will also be terminated immediately in the event of inappropriate conduct of any kind, including harassment, threatening speech or behavior, sexual advances or requests, or disrespectful actions or language. A session will not be conducted if the client is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Full payment for the scheduled session is still required if a session is terminated for any of these reasons.

draping

Clients will be appropriately draped with a sheet and/or towel, plus a light blanket, at all times during the massage. Only the area of the body currently being treated will be exposed. The breast and genital areas will always remain draped and will never be massaged or exposed under any circumstances.

privacy & confidentiality

All information shared with the therapist by the client remains confidential and is handled in accordance with HIPAA standards.

payment

A deposit is required to secure your appointment and is paid online. See our Deposit policy and Cancellation & Rescheduling policy for more details. The remaining balance is due at the time of service and may be paid in person by cash, card, Cash App, or Zelle. Taxes and fees may apply. Tips are appreciated but never required.

travel fee

A travel fee may apply based on distance from the therapist's previous location. The first 15 minutes of travel are free; each additional minute is billed at $1.25. Travel fees may be estimated prior to booking and finalized at checkout, as travel time depends on the therapist's location that day.

client rights

You have the right to a safe, professional, and confidential massage experience. You have the right to full body draping at all times, to say no to any technique or area of focus, and to end your session at any time for any reason.

client responsibilities

You are responsible for disclosing relevant health conditions, allergies, injuries, surgeries, and medications on your health history form; for prepared on time for the therapist's arrival; for alerting the therapist immediately if any pain or discomfort is felt during the session; and for treating your therapist with respect.
